On-site Mechanical Evaporation without affecting communities.
Ecopetrol and Talisman discovered significant reserves and needed to dispose of the water produced from the initial tests. Due to the semi-urban location of the lands, authorities did not permit irrigation on those lands, and it was not feasible to transport free water by trucks to external treatment plants. Through PWES’s Mechanical Evaporation service, they managed to dispose of the produced water “in-situ” and ensure the continuity of production without incurring environmental risks or issues with the neighboring community.
